An actress from the IRT, Millicent Wright, did a Google Meet with each of our classes. She

shared lots of information about A Christmas Carol at IRT. She read from her script to show the

students how to use their voices. She also discussed the play the students were reading in

class and asked them about their version of A Christmas Carol. She shared different ways to

improve their acting in class.






B inspired yoga studio comes into our Lifestyle Fitness class and will teach the basic

moves and discusses the importance yoga and how it helps the overall individual.

Yoga involves repetition and holding poses that will increase individual strength. Also,

certain poses are in effect “weight training”, supporting the body weight in gravity. It

improves one’s posture and flexibility. Students are taught that yoga will also boost

metabolism, increases blood flow, and most important, they are taught relaxation

techniques as tools to use reduce stress and anxiety.

This week, Artist Yulia Avgustinovich, from Lakewood, Colorado, is going to be installing her mural in downtown Batesville! The mural will be installed on the south east corner of Walnut Street near George Street. Check out a sneak peek below, and keep a look our for LOTS of new art in Batesville!
