Music Professors Work with BMS and BHS Steel Drum Band

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade arts and band students enjoyed an educational and musical day of steel drums on Monday March 11th. Dr. Chris Tanner of Miami University and Dr. Jimmy Finney of ISU came to work with BMS students educating them to the art of Steel Drumming. The BHS Steel Drum band got a wonderful opportunity to hone their skills with these music professors and entertain the students.

The day was followed by a magnificent evening concert at BHS accompanied by members of the Miami University Steel Band. Special thanks to Alec Brandstetter for coordinating this wonderful experience and the BAAC for funding it.
