Steam Engine Ice Cream at Oldenburg Academy

In conjunction with their interdisciplinary unit on the Industrial Revolution, all 10th grade

students received a demonstration of how the steam engine works, courtesy of Shrank Farms.

The Shranks explained how they modified the engine into an ice cream machine, and then the

sophomores watched how the engine made ice cream. All students across the school were

able to watch the ice cream be made and have a sample.
