Cincinnati’s Playhouse in the Park visited BIS

Three performing artists from

joined each class virtually for 45 minute workshops during the 5 day week. Each grade level had a different theme/unit of focus for the week. Students in third and fourth grade centered their workshops on novels that were previously read in class. In third grade students brought to life the BFG by Roald Dahl and in fourth grade the students worked on Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. Instead of working on performances from novels, the fifth graders worked on studying great speeches and also writing their own.
