ARTS IN EDUCATION
Since 1988 the Arts in Education (AIE) Program has brought a variety of professional artists into the 6 local schools to integrate the arts into the existing school curricula.
The goal of the BAAC Arts in Education Program is to enrich the educational experiences and lives of the students and teachers in the Batesville and Oldenburg schools.
The Arts in Education Program has been cited as a model program by the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
COMMUNITY ART SUPPORT
Batesville and Oldenburg have gained cultural, social, and economic value through public art and community arts programs. Public and performing arts humanize the environment and invigorate public spaces.*
The BAAC is pleased to partner with local schools, libraries, businesses, civic organizations, and other non-profit groups to fund and display art in our communities. We are grateful for the community support of our efforts.
