Kevin Stonerock- A Visit with a Hoosier Pioneer at BIS

Storyteller and performer, Kevin Stonerock performed A Visit with a Hoosier Pioneer for

all 4th grade students on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022. Students learned about the life and

hardships of a man named Andrew Amonett, a frontiersman of the Indiana Territory.

“Andrew” shared tall tales of frontier life and the dangers of living in the Indiana Territory

before the War of 1812. Topics include trapping, militia service, Indian affairs, tools,

weapons and frontier clothing.
