About the Event
Join the City of Batesville, Batesville Area Arts Council, and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO)
in celebrating 5 years of the Star-Spangled Symphony in Batesville.
The Star-Spangled Symphony will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023. Gates open at the Gillespie Soccer Plex at 6:00 p.m. with the performance beginning at 8:00 p.m. This event will feature a world-class symphony performance of the original overture performed by the ISO paired with a full, professional fireworks display. The Star-Spangled Symphony is free and open to the public, but donations are accepted and appreciated to help off-set the cost of this event.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their families and friends, lawn chair, picnic blanket, tarp (if the ground is wet), a wagon or rolling cooler and a flashlight. Bring your own refreshments or choose from an expanded selection of food service options.
Handicap parking is available on Gillespie Drive. Event volunteers will assist with transporting guests and will provide directions to onsite parking spaces. Additional parking within walking distance is available at Liberty Park and on surrounding streets.
Concert cancellation due to weather will be reported on the BAAC’s website and social media sites and WRBI’s website and social media.
