COMMUNITY ART SHOW

The Community Art Show has been a community tradition since 2001. Local adult artists (age 18 and up) enter their artwork in the show which is then judged.  There are three main categories that artists can enter: fine art, applied art and photography. The top 3 entries are awarded cash prizes in each category. Best in Show is the overall winner in any category and is rewarded the biggest prize. The night of the art show, which always coincides with the Batesville Music and Arts Festival every June, the People's Choice Award is also awarded after the public has voted on a favorite entry. The artwork is displayed in the downtown area for about a month.

There is a $25 fee to enter. Art work should be work that has been created within a year of the art show. Information on how and when to enter will be announced in the Hearld Tribune in the spring and informational brochures will be at the Public Library and the Chamber Office prior to the show.
